چکیده
We investigate many-body localization of interacting spinless fermions in a one-dimensional disordered and tilted lattice. The undergo energy-dependent transitions from ergodic to Stark driven by the potential, which are manifested appearance mobility edges between delocalized states localized even when disorder is weak. can concretely diagnose these rather than crossovers finite-size scaling energy-level statistics. Moreover, localization, entanglement entropy obeys area law scaling, analogy that conventional localization.

Manifold Approach for a Many-Body Wannier Stark System: Localization and Chaos in Energy Space
We study the resonant tunneling e ect in a many-body Wannier Stark system, realized by ultracold bosonic atoms in an optical lattice subjected to an external Stark force. The properties of the many-body system are e ectively described in terms of upper-band excitation manifolds, which allow for the study of the transition between regular and quantum chaotic spectral statistics. We show that our...

In the seminal 1958 paper, Anderson cites the problem of spin diffusion as a motivation to study the quantum effect of localization [1]. The conclusion about the stability of a localized phase was actually reached there for a single quasiparticle hopping between sites with random, broadly distributed energies. The single-particle localization theory, applicable to various systems comprised of n...

We use exact diagonalization to explore the many-body localization transition in a random-field spin-1/2 chain. We examine the correlations within each many-body eigenstate, looking at all high-energy states and thus effectively working at infinite temperature. For weak random field the eigenstates are thermal, as expected in this nonlocalized, “ergodic” phase. For strong random field the eigen...

We propose a method for detecting many-body localization (MBL) in disordered spin systems. The method involves pulsed coherent spin manipulations that probe the dephasing of a given spin due to its entanglement with a set of distant spins. It allows one to distinguish the MBL phase from a noninteracting localized phase and a delocalized phase. In particular, we show that for a properly chosen p...
متن کاملMany-body mobility edge in a mean-field quantum spin glass.
The quantum random energy model provides a mean-field description of the equilibrium spin glass transition. We show that it further exhibits a many-body localization-delocalization (MBLD) transition when viewed as a closed quantum system. The mean-field structure of the model allows an analytically tractable description of the MBLD transition using the forward-scattering approximation and repli...
